An informative web site on Child Theology is The Child Theology Network:

                                         http://childtheology.net/

“Child Theology” is a phrase that is somewhat ambiguous, as some use it in a very general sense and others in a more specific manner.  The creation of the phrase is attributed to Keith White, who suggested that it describes the difference that “placing a child in the midst” of the theological process could make.

In some respects, this can be compared with feminist theology or liberation theology–it is an approach to doing theology that asks, “What difference would it make if we did as Jesus did, placing a child in the midst, and letting the child’s perspective guide our approach to theology.”

There are several videos from the site.  Two that will move you are :

  • Listen to the Children .  This video shares answers to questions from poor children from different countries.
  • Children -the Great Omission.  This video emphasizes the importance of children from God’s perspective, and how they should be important to the church.

Another site that has several resources is http://www.max7.org/default.aspx. This is an Australian web site to provide educational resources from ministry to children.

Aim Lower,  from this site,  is a video to help churches, leaders and organizations communicate why it is vital to focus on children.

Sometimes you come across interesting and inspiring videos on the web. They can illustrate various aspects of our relationship to God.

God’s fatherhood has become a refreshing focus on a number of sites.  On the site http://www.afathertoyou.com/ I came across two videos: “I will be a Father to you” and “Like A child.”

A four minute video presentation about man’s rebellion and God’s heart of love and redemption. He loves YOU and wants to bring you to a place of peace and rest in Him. He is the perfect Father and He wants to be a FATHER to YOU.To watch online click here or to watch through your

A four minute video presentation about the childlike heart Jesus taught us about in Matthew 18:4. We don’t have to have it all ‘together’.  Jesus taught us to change, humble ourselves and come with a childlike heart. An open heart He will not turn away.

One of the most important things you can discover is that there is more to God than just knowing about Him .  You can actually know Him.  He is the Father you may have been looking for all your life.  He is the perfect Father and He wants to be a Father to YOU.

It was interesting to receive the following from Joe Tkach:

Prior to the conference, we were blessed with the opportunity to have dinner with Thomas Spears Torrance, the son of the late theologian Thomas Forsythe Torrance.

WCG European Conference 08

WCG European Conference 08

“The annual European Ministerial Conference was well attended and Dr. John McKenna, Tammy and I enjoyed fellowshipping with over 100 of our pastoral leaders.

Last week, his latest project of publishing a book containing his father’s lecture notes was completed when the new book was released by InterVarsity Press.

For anyone interested in better understanding Trinitarian/Christ-centered Theology, I heartily recommend this book, titled Incarnation: The Person and Life of Christ. It is a much easier read than many others.”
